Book Club is sponsored by The Church at Covenant Park, near the Soccer Association of Columbia (SAC) fields. We join together as those who like to read or would like to read more and be able to discuss with others. Membership is not limited to Church members and all are welcome.
Someone posted a link to this and I thought it might be good to post here. It made me think of Screwtape and his intentional misguiding of natural tendencies.
The title is catchy but correct. Chruches even have a joke about i, "It ain't a baptist meeting unless there is food". Considering the excess of various studies about obesity in the country, this article hits home.
I think this is one of a few of the "acceptable sins" in the church in America today. I think the article was very well done. We love to cast stones at others when we haven't really examined ourselves, I know as I speak from much experience.
