Just finished reading the book today. I must say he is a very talented writer and especially surprising given his focus on sport reporting. Mitch Albom certainly feels that none of us play a small part here on earth and that God has a plan for all of us. He adds the individual attention while intertwining all the stories to say God weaves a very rich tapestry that we won't appreciate until we see how it all worked out in heaven. His story makes me think of the white stones mentioned in Revelation with a name on it that only the receiver knows. What did everyone else think about the book?
The passage in revelation is 2:17 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it."
Eddie got the hidden sustenance known to us as "what is it?" and learned his name.
I don't want to attribute beliefs to someone who very well may not believe but sometimes the truth just can't help but come out.
